Introduction
Juriso Law LLP (“Juriso”, “we”, “us”) is a law firm with offices at 350 Madison Avenue, 12th Floor, New York, NY 10017 and 25 Old Broad Street, London EC2N 1HN. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with applicable data protection law, including US state privacy laws and the UK GDPR.
This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it and the choices you have. It does not cover information we process as part of a client matter, which is governed by our engagement letter and professional obligations.
02
Information we collect
We collect only the information we need to respond to you and provide legal services.
Contact details you give us, such as your name, email address, phone number and postal address.
Information about your matter that you choose to share through our consultation form, by email or by phone.
Identity and verification documents required by anti-money-laundering and conflict-check rules once you become a client.
Technical data from your visit, such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed and referring site.
03
How we use your information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, run conflict checks, provide and bill for legal services, meet our regulatory obligations and improve our website.
We rely on your consent, the performance of a contract, our legal obligations and our legitimate interests in running a law firm. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
04
Attorney–client privilege
Contacting us through this website or by email does not, on its own, create an attorney–client relationship. Please do not send confidential or time-sensitive information until we have confirmed in writing that we can act for you.
Once you instruct us, communications made for the purpose of obtaining legal advice are protected by attorney–client privilege and our duty of confidentiality. Those duties continue after your matter ends.
05
Cookies and analytics
We use a small number of cookies to keep the website secure and working, and, with your consent, to understand how visitors use it.
Essential cookies: required for security and basic site functions. These cannot be switched off.
Analytics cookies: aggregated, anonymised statistics on page views and referrals. Set only with your consent.
No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used on this website.
06
Sharing and international transfers
We share personal information only with people who need it to help us serve you: our New York and London offices, IT and document-management providers, professional advisers, and courts or regulators where the law requires.
Where information moves between the United States and the United Kingdom, we use recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
07
Retention and security
We keep enquiry records for up to two years and client files for at least seven years after a matter closes, or longer where the law requires. Information is stored on encrypted systems with access limited to the people working on your matter.
08
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
Access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy.
Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
Ask us to delete information, subject to our legal and professional record-keeping duties.
Object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent at any time.
Complain to a regulator, such as the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
